Here are a few more photos to enjoy. You can also read about some of our adventures in our blog section.

2021 Highlights

Just a few things going with the Templetons. You can read the full blog here!

We're renovating the house next door as a new place to house guests and family.

We’ve been dreaming for several years of owning the three-story house next door to us. The older woman who lived there for 30 years had been widowed for the last 13 years and the house had come into disrepair. We’ve known for about a year that she was considering moving, and through a number of conversations and negotiations, our family closed on the property on October 25, 2021. Read more at the blog.

After months of prodding, I finally gave in. Chelsea has asked for every animal under the sun, but in Spring 2021, we couldn't escape the cute baby chicks at Tractor Supply. Although we found a private breeder in East Texas, the farm and ranch supply store that we visit periodically had all of the supplies (and animals) prominently displayed. We ultimately bought 10 chickens. I call them designer chickens because they are both beautiful and make an array of colorful eggs. See more photos on the blog.

After several trips out of town to see prospects and full on negotiations with people across the country, we found the ideal floor plan, age, and condition of a Kit Companion model in Cleburne, TX.

We had thought about it all Spring. It would be so nice to have a "sabbatical" in the mountains for a few weeks during the heat of the summer. So we started searching for the perfect camper that we could pull behind our Toyota Tacoma. The trailer was a great purchase, even though the purchase itself had some stories.
